Sligo Rovers' Cup-Winning Umbro Era

Sligo Rovers enjoyed a successful period in the early 2010s. After winning back-to-back FAI Cups in 2010 and 2011, they became Irish league champions in 2012, their first league title in 35 years. Umbro became their kit supplier in 2013, the same year the club won another FAI Cup. They beat Drogheda United 3-2 in the final at the Aviva Stadium, with Anthony Elding scoring the winner in stoppage time. It was another trophy for a team that had become one of the strongest in Irish football.

In 2014, Sligo added the Setanta Sports Cup to their honours and also enjoyed an interesting European run. They travelled to Norway to face Rosenborg in Europa League qualifying and won 2-1 away, although they were eliminated after losing the return leg. The club's partnership with Volkswagen Connolly's was also an important part of this period, having started in 2012 and continued until 2019. This Umbro quarter-zip is a nice alternative to a traditional match shirt, particularly for collectors interested in Irish football, vintage training gear and less commonly seen club merchandise.
