Gremio 2000 Kappa Pre Match (Medium)

In 2000, Ronaldinho was still playing for Grêmio, the club where he had developed through the youth academy and made his professional debut in 1998. He was already known as one of Brazil's most promising young players, and his performances were starting to attract interest from European clubs. That year, he scored a hat-trick in a friendly against Fluminense and regularly found the net in the Campeonato Gaúcho, including twice against Esportivo and twice against Santa Cruz. Grêmio's squad also featured experienced players such as Zinho and Paulo Nunes, while the club was competing in the Copa João Havelange, Brazil's national championship that year. 

The 2000 season was one of Ronaldinho's last at Grêmio before he moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2001. From there, he went on to win the World Cup with Brazil in 2002, join Barcelona in 2003 and become one of the most recognisable players in football.
