The Shirt from Austria Wien’s League-and-Cup Double

This Nike away shirt comes from one of Austria Wien’s strongest modern periods.

The design first appeared in 2002/03, when Austria Wien won the Austrian Bundesliga and defeated FC Kärnten 3–2 in the cup final. UEFA later referred to them directly as the 2002/03 double winners, confirming that the club collected both major domestic trophies in the same campaign.

Austria kept the same away design for 2003/04 rather than replacing it after one year. That second season ended without another title, but the club still finished as league runners-up, which explains why the shirt is sometimes listed only as 2003/04 and elsewhere as 2002–04.

That gives it a proper collector story: a clean Nike away shirt carried over for two years, beginning with one of the club’s rare domestic doubles.
