Athens Kallithea 2024/26 3rd L/S (Multiple Sizes)

Athens Kallithea have built a reputation for treating football shirts more like creative projects than standard merchandise and this third shirt might be the clearest example.

The club worked again with Munich design studio Bureau Borsche to create a nearly complete blackout shirt. The crest, Kappa logos and EMΣT branding (the National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens) were all applied in a subtle reflective finish, so the details appear differently depending on the light. 

The campaign pushed the same idea. Instead of a normal stadium shoot, Athens Kallithea used photographer Yiorgos Mavropoulos for an abstract black-and-white editorial photographed at Mona Athens, a boutique hotel created inside a former 1950s textile factory in the Psyrri neighbourhood. 

The club then made an unusually sensible decision: rather than replacing the full kit collection after one season, it carried the design into 2025/26. The official store therefore lists it as a 24/26 shirt, which is rare in an era when clubs normally launch several new kits every summer. 

That gives this piece a proper identity: a long-sleeve blackout shirt linked to contemporary art, independent design and one of Athens’ most interesting football rebrands. It is the kind of shirt that works even when nobody around you knows the club, which is honestly half the appeal.
