On 13 January 2008, Ronaldo scored twice as AC Milan beat Napoli 5-2 in a match that also marked Alexandre Pato's debut. Ronaldo opened the scoring after 15 minutes and added a header just after half-time. Pato, who was only 18, also scored his first Milan goal that night. It was the first time the Brazilian trio of Ronaldo, Kaká and Pato played together, giving Milan supporters plenty to be excited about.

Ronaldo Scored Twice the Night Pato Made His AC Milan Debut

On 13 January 2008, AC Milan faced Napoli at San Siro with a new attacking trio: Ronaldo, Kaká and 18-year-old Alexandre Pato. It was Pato's first official appearance after joining the club the previous summer. Ronaldo, now wearing number 99 because Filippo Inzaghi already had his usual number 9, was ready to show that he could still score goals.

Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 15th minute, but Napoli fought back twice, making it 2-2 at half-time. Just seconds after the restart, Ronaldo headed in Clarence Seedorf's cross to put Milan ahead again. Kaká then scored the fourth before Pato completed the 5-2 victory with his first goal for the club. Ronaldo finished with two goals, while Milan celebrated their first home league win of the season.

Unfortunately, Ronaldo's comeback didn't last long. On 13 February 2008, just a month after the Napoli match, he suffered a serious knee injury against Livorno. It turned out to be his final appearance for Milan, ending a difficult period at the club. His number 99 shirt remains closely connected to that short chapter of his career, when one of football's greatest strikers was trying to return to his best.
