This training top comes from one of Milan’s best league seasons of the 2000s. Carlo Ancelotti’s side finished on 82 points, 11 clear of Roma, while Andriy Shevchenko scored 24 league goals and finished as Serie A’s top scorer. It’s a nice piece from the everyday training side of a squad packed with Maldini, Pirlo, Kaká, Seedorf, Nesta and Shevchenko, basically the behind-the-scenes uniform of a title-winning Milan team.

Milan Won Serie A by 11 Points and Shevchenko Finished With 24 Goals

AC Milan’s 2003/04 squad was ridiculous on paper: Maldini, Nesta, Cafu, Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf, Kaká and Shevchenko, all working under Carlo Ancelotti. This adidas training top comes from the season that group turned all that quality into a dominant Serie A title. 

Milan finished with 82 points, 11 ahead of Roma and secured the Scudetto by beating Roma 1-0 at San Siro on 2 May. Shevchenko scored the winner after just 80 seconds and ended the campaign with 24 league goals, enough to win the Capocannoniere. 

That’s what makes the training gear from this season especially cool. It isn’t the shirt from one famous match; it’s the sort of piece worn around the squad during a season that produced a runaway league title and helped Shevchenko build the case for the 2004 Ballon d’Or, which he won later that year.
