Yeovil Town’s story in the 2000s was one of English football’s great climbs. After winning promotion from the Conference in 2003, the club reached League One in 2005 and established itself among much larger clubs with far bigger budgets.

The 2009/10 season was another year of League One survival battles, with Yeovil finishing 15th under manager Terry Skiverton. The club’s home shirts from this era kept the traditional green-and-white hoops that had become strongly associated with the Glovers.

This Vandanel shirt also belongs to the final chapter of the club’s Football League peak. A few years later, Yeovil achieved their highest-ever league finish by reaching the Championship in 2013 after defeating Brentford in the League One play-off final, a remarkable achievement for a club that had only entered the Football League a decade earlier.
