The Cagliari Shirt Inspired by Sardinia Beyond the Beaches

Most designs linked to Sardinia focus on the sea. Cagliari went in the opposite direction with this 2025/26 third shirt.

The “Breathe” project was created to draw attention to Sardinia’s forest heritage, which the club and EYE Sport describe as the largest forest area in Italy. The front uses holm oak leaves, while the back includes downy oak and cork oak leaves, species chosen to represent strength, longevity, stability and resilience.

It was not only a kit launch. The shirt formed part of a wider campaign encouraging people to discover Sardinia through trekking, hiking and mountain biking while protecting the landscape. That gives the design an actual purpose beyond selling another seasonal colourway.

The shirt also carries several details made for collectors: an NFC authenticity tag, the coordinates of the Unipol Domus centre spot and an internal label stating whether the shirt was used by a player or owned by a supporter.
