This isn’t just a Málaga city shirt. It carries the names of all 103 municipalities in the province. The idea grew from a project where artist José Luis Puche designed captain’s armbands dedicated to different Málaga towns, before Hummel turned the whole province into one shirt. It also arrived for Málaga’s return to La Liga after eight years away.

THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT

103 Towns on One Málaga Shirt

Málaga’s 2026/27 third shirt was designed as a tribute to the entire province, not just the city. Hidden across the black base are the names of all 103 municipalities of Málaga. 

The idea came from an earlier project with artist José Luis Puche, who created captain’s armbands dedicated to the different towns of the province. This shirt became the final step: putting every one of those places together on a single kit. 

It also completes a three-shirt story. The home kit carried “Muy Noble”, the away “Muy Leal” and this third shirt finishes the historic title with “Ciudad de Málaga” inside the collar. And the timing was perfect: it was released as Málaga returned to Spain’s top flight after an eight-year absence.
