Nike created this shirt for the 20th anniversary of Galatasaray’s historic 1999/2000 UEFA Cup season, taking inspiration from the kit worn by the team that became the first Turkish club to win a major European trophy. Even the inside carried the phrase “İlklerin ve enlerin takımı” (“the team of firsts and records.”) This sponsorless version is especially tied to the original launch, appearing before Terra Pizza joined the shirt later that summer.
