Morgan Rogers was wearing this third-kit design when Aston Villa finally returned to Europe’s top competition after 42 seasons away. Villa unveiled the shirt on 16 September 2024 and wore it for the first time the very next night against Young Boys, with Rogers starting in the No. 27 as Villa won 3-0. The match version replaced Betano with Acorns, but the navy-and-silver design itself became tied immediately to one of Villa’s biggest European nights in decades.
