This shirt comes from a season where Boca were in control almost from day one. Under Guillermo Barros Schelotto, they opened the campaign with eight consecutive victories, including a 2-1 Superclásico win and stayed at the top of the table for the entire season.

On 9 May 2018, a 2-2 draw away to Gimnasia was enough to make the title official with one match still left. Boca had already won the previous league championship, so this one completed a back-to-back title run.

What makes this shirt especially nice is how directly it belongs to that stretch of dominance. They spent 46 consecutive league rounds in first place from December 2016 into 2018. So this is one of those simple, classic Boca shirts that gets a lot better once you know the context: blue, yellow, Nike and from a team that barely gave up top spot for a year and a half.
