Toni Kroos Won His Fourth Champions League at Just 28 Years Old

When Toni Kroos joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in 2014, he had already won the Champions League once. Over the next four years, he became one of the most important players in Madrid's midfield, playing alongside Luka Modrić and Casemiro. Their partnership helped Real Madrid reach three consecutive Champions League finals between 2016 and 2018.

On 26 May 2018, Madrid faced Liverpool in Kyiv. Kroos started in midfield, with Madrid hoping to win their third Champions League title in a row. After a goalless first half, Karim Benzema opened the scoring in the 51st minute. Sadio Mané equalised four minutes later, but Gareth Bale came off the bench and scored twice to secure a 3-1 victory.

The victory gave Kroos his fourth Champions League title at just 28. He had won with Bayern in 2013 and Madrid in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Real Madrid became the first club to win three consecutive titles in the modern Champions League era.
