The Valencia Shirt with Hidden Messages

This was Valencia’s third shirt for 2011–12, created in a vivid orange that stood completely apart from the club’s white home and black away kits. 

The best details are hidden. Joma placed “Amunt Valencia” (the club’s traditional rallying cry) inside the collar and along the lower hem, where it could only be seen properly when holding or wearing the shirt. 

There is also a small black bat embroidered at the back of the neck, referencing the symbol that sits at the top of Valencia’s crest. Mesh panels and black piping finish a design that becomes much more interesting the closer you look. 

The shirt belongs to a season in which Valencia finished third in La Liga and reached the semi-finals of both the Copa del Rey and Europa League under Unai Emery.
