Shamrock Rovers' First New Balance Era

Shamrock Rovers entered 2016 with a new kit supplier. After two seasons with Warrior, the Dublin club signed with New Balance, becoming the first Irish football team to wear the brand. At the time, New Balance was also working with Liverpool, Celtic, Porto and Sevilla, putting Shamrock Rovers alongside some well-known European clubs. The partnership covered not just match shirts but also training and travel clothing, making pieces like this sweatshirt part of the club's wider collection.

On the pitch, Shamrock Rovers were looking to return to the top of Irish football after finishing third in 2015. They competed in Europa League qualifying in 2016 and finished fourth in the League of Ireland Premier Division.
