Sevilla 2004/05 Away (XXL)

Before Sevilla became famous for winning European trophies, they were a young, ambitious team trying to establish themselves among Spain's best.

In 2004/05, Joaquín Caparrós had an exciting squad featuring several players who would go on to have remarkable careers. Sergio Ramos was still a teenager playing for his hometown club, Dani Alves was developing into one of La Liga's best attacking full-backs and Jesús Navas was beginning to make his mark on the first team.

Up front, Júlio Baptista was Sevilla's biggest goal threat. Nicknamed La Bestia, the Brazilian had become one of the most exciting forwards in Spanish football and was attracting attention from Europe's biggest clubs.

Sevilla were also back in European competition. They defeated Nacional and Panathinaikos on their way to the UEFA Cup Round of 16, where they were narrowly eliminated by Parma after a 1-0 aggregate defeat.

They finished sixth in La Liga, securing another season of European football. That summer, Ramos and Baptista left for Real Madrid, while Sevilla continued building with players such as Frédéric Kanouté.

Just one year later, Sevilla lifted the 2006 UEFA Cup, their first major European trophy.

This 2004/05 away shirt comes from the season immediately before that breakthrough, when players like Ramos, Alves, Navas and Baptista were helping lay the foundations for Sevilla's future success.
