This is one of Partizan Belgrade's more unusual and rare shirts. In 2000, Nike had to stop supplying the club because of sanctions against Yugoslavia, so local brand NAAI stepped in for a short period. The shirt also features a young Andrija Delibašić, who was just beginning his professional career at Partizan before becoming the club's first Champions League goalscorer in 2003. A cool combination of a short-lived manufacturer and an important player from Partizan's early-2000s team.

THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT

The Partizan Shirt Made After Nike Left

Partizan Belgrade's 1999/00 season came during a difficult period for Yugoslav football. The club had been wearing Nike kits since 1996, but international sanctions meant the American manufacturer could no longer continue supplying them. In spring 2000, Serbian brand NAAI took over, producing shirts for the remainder of the season. The partnership lasted only a short time, as Partizan switched to Puma for 2000/01. That makes the NAAI shirts an interesting find, especially compared with the more common Nike and Puma versions from that period.

The season was also the beginning of Andrija Delibašić's senior career. The young striker had joined Partizan's academy from Sutjeska and made his first-team debut in 1999/00, scoring three goals in 17 competitive appearances. He would develop into an important player for the club, winning two league titles and the Yugoslav Cup. His biggest European moment came in 2003/04, when Partizan reached the Champions League group stage for the first time. Delibašić scored all three of the team's goals in the competition, including their first-ever Champions League group-stage goal.

Partizan finished second behind Red Star Belgrade in 1999/00, with a young squad featuring Mateja Kežman, Saša Ilić and Delibašić. While the season didn't bring a trophy, this particular shirt has two good reasons to stand out: it comes from a brief period when Partizan had to turn to a local manufacturer, and it carries the name of a striker who would later make club history in the Champions League.
