This Nagoya Grampus 2005–06 home shirt captures the distinctive identity that makes vintage Japanese football shirts so collectible. Manufactured by Le Coq Sportif, its striking red-and-black design is covered with details connected to Nagoya and the club’s Toyota roots, including the famous Toyota sponsor and Toyota L&F branding across the back.

The shirt belongs to an important transitional era for Nagoya Grampus Eight. In 2006, Japanese international Keiji Tamada arrived at the club shortly before scoring against Brazil at the World Cup. He would become a Nagoya legend, making more than 280 appearances across two spells and helping the club win its first J.League title in 2010.

Unlike the widely reproduced shirts of Europe’s biggest clubs, original mid-2000s J.League designs are much harder to encounter outside Japan.
