THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT

The Training Top from Levante’s Historic Cup Run

This was part of Levante’s training collection during the 2020–21 season, using the club’s red and blue colours as sharp details across a dark base. 

That season produced one of the most unexpected cup runs in the club’s history. Levante eliminated Valladolid before facing nearby rivals Villarreal in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.

The match remained goalless until the final minute of extra time, when Roger Martí scored in the 120th minute. The goal sent Levante into their first Copa del Rey semi-final since 1935. 

They came painfully close to going even further. Levante led Athletic Club during the second leg of the semi-final before eventually losing after extra time, missing their first modern Copa final by minutes. 

That is what gives this sweatshirt its story. It comes from the training ground behind a cup run nobody expected, a season when Levante were one late goal away from doing something the club had waited generations to achieve.
