Pogba’s Only Season in Juventus’ No.10

The 2015/16 season gave Paul Pogba one of the biggest responsibilities at Juventus: the No.10 shirt. He had previously worn No.6, but after Carlos Tevez left, Pogba stepped into a number associated with club legends including Alessandro Del Piero and Michel Platini.

It was also Juventus’ first season wearing Adidas, ending their long relationship with Nike. Pogba helped Juve win Serie A and the Coppa Italia, while in the Champions League he scored the opening goal away to Bayern Munich in a wild last-16 tie.

It turned out to be Pogba’s only Juventus season in the No.10. That summer he returned to Manchester United for €105 million, a fee Juventus confirmed was the highest transfer in football history at the time.
