Adriano Opened Inter's Season With a Hat-Trick Against Treviso

On 28 August 2005, Adriano began the Serie A season with a hat-trick against Treviso at San Siro. The Brazilian scored every goal in Inter's 3-0 win, immediately reminding supporters why his powerful left foot had made him one of Europe's most feared strikers. It was quite a way to start a campaign.

His goalscoring continued in Europe. On 23 November, Adriano struck three times against Artmedia Bratislava in a 4-0 Champions League victory, helping Inter finish top of their group. His third goal was particularly impressive: receiving the ball outside the area, he calmly lifted it over the advancing goalkeeper to complete his hat-trick.

The 2005/06 campaign eventually brought Inter the Coppa Italia and a Serie A title awarded retrospectively following the Calciopoli scandal. This white Nike away shirt, with its blue-and-black chest band and contrasting yellow Pirelli sponsor, is one of the most recognisable alternatives to Inter's traditional stripes from Adriano's years at the club.
