Germany Wore This Design for the 7-1 Against Brazil

Germany only wore this away design twice during the 2014 World Cup: against the United States in the group stage and then in the semi-final against Brazil. That second appearance is the reason the shirt is remembered.

On 8 July 2014, Germany faced the host nation in Belo Horizonte. Thomas Müller opened the scoring after 11 minutes, Miroslav Klose made it 2-0 and then Toni Kroos scored twice in barely two minutes. By the 29th minute it was already 5-0; André Schürrle later added two more as Germany won 7-1. 

The black-and-red base design is permanently linked to that game, which is why this is one of those Germany away shirts that needs almost no explanation once someone recognises it.
