Luis Enrique’s first season as Barcelona manager could hardly have gone better: he won everything that mattered.

Barça lifted La Liga and the Copa del Rey before beating Juventus 3–1 in the Champions League final in Berlin. That victory completed the club’s second treble, making Barcelona the first team to achieve the League, domestic cup and European Cup treble twice.

It was also the first season of the Messi–Suárez–Neymar attack. Luis Suárez had arrived from Liverpool that summer, while Xavi was playing his final campaign for the club. The season ended with Xavi lifting the Champions League trophy in his last Barcelona appearance.
