Claudio Bravo didn't concede a single goal in his first eight La Liga matches for Barcelona. After joining from Real Sociedad in 2014, the Chilean goalkeeper went 754 minutes without letting anyone score, setting a new club record. He finished the season with 23 clean sheets in 37 league appearances and won the Zamora Trophy. Not bad for his first year at a club that had just lost Víctor Valdés.

THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT

Claudio Bravo Went 754 Minutes Without Conceding a Goal

When Claudio Bravo joined Barcelona in the summer of 2014, he had a big job ahead of him. Víctor Valdés had left after more than a decade as the club's main goalkeeper. But Bravo couldn't have started much better. He kept a clean sheet against Elche on the opening day and followed it with seven more in a row.

It took until Barcelona's ninth league match for someone to finally score against him. By then, Bravo had gone 754 minutes without conceding, breaking the club's previous record of 560 minutes set by Pello Artola. He continued that form throughout the season, conceding just 19 goals in 37 league appearances and keeping 23 clean sheets. Those numbers earned him the Zamora Trophy.

Barcelona also had Marc-André ter Stegen, who played in the Champions League and Copa del Rey while Bravo handled La Liga. The system worked perfectly. Barcelona won all three competitions in 2014/15, completing their second treble. For two goalkeepers who had only joined the club that summer, it was an incredible first season.
