Badalona’s main goalkeeper in 2022/23 was Froi Leal and he was basically ever-present: 28 starts from 30 league matches and 2,520 minutes played. He conceded 32 across that run, so this goalkeeper design is tied to the player who carried almost the entire season between the posts. For anyone who likes the less obvious side of kit collecting, that makes this one much more interesting than a generic keeper top.

THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT

Froi Leal Played 28 of Badalona’s 30 League Games in This Goalkeeper Era

The 2022/23 goalkeeper setup at Badalona was built almost entirely around Froi Leal. He started 28 of the club’s 30 league matches, logging 2,520 minutes, while the other senior goalkeepers barely featured.

That kind of continuity gives this shirt a nice bit of identity. Froi conceded 32 league goals across those 28 appearances and became the clear first choice during Badalona’s one-season 2022/23 Luanvi goalkeeper range.

He then returned to Sabadell the following summer, with local coverage specifically noting the experience he had gained from those 28 Badalona appearances. So this black-and-neon Luanvi shirt is a pretty neat piece from a season where one young keeper owned the position almost from start to finish, exactly the kind of detail that makes a goalkeeper shirt worth looking at twice.
