Celta hid a small piece of club history inside this 2026/27 third shirt: 1923, the year the club was founded, is worked into the diamond pattern at the back of the neck. The red, sky-blue and navy design was deliberately given a retro feel, with textured fabric and a vintage-style finish. It turns what looks like a bold modern third kit into a subtle tribute to more than a century of Celta history.

THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT

The Shirt With “1923” Hidden in the Diamonds

Hummel built Celta’s 2026/27 third shirt around a deliberately retro-inspired diamond pattern, using red alongside the club’s sky blue and navy. The textured, slightly shiny fabric was chosen specifically to push that vintage feel. 

The best detail is much easier to miss. At the back of the neck, “1923” is hidden inside the diamonds, marking the year RC Celta was founded. 

It also forms part of a wider 2026/27 collection based on colours taken from Celta’s historical identity, with the full-colour club crest returning across the range. The season also brought another European campaign, giving this third kit a place in one of Celta’s more distinctive modern eras.
