This shirt comes from Aleksandar Dragović’s breakthrough season at Austria Wien, the club whose academy he had joined as a child.

He made his first-team debut during the 2008–09 campaign while still only 17. The number on his back matched his age, making this number 17 shirt a perfect snapshot of the moment his senior career began.

Dragović quickly established himself as one of Austria’s most promising young defenders. Before long, he was playing regularly in Europe and attracting attention beyond the Austrian league.

His first senior season also ended with a trophy, as Austria Wien won the Austrian Cup after beating Admira 3–1 following extra time.
