Totti Scored Twice Against Lazio, Then Took a Selfie on the Pitch

On 11 January 2015, Roma faced Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico. Lazio were 2-0 ahead at half-time thanks to goals from Stefano Mauri and Felipe Anderson. Roma needed a comeback and their 38-year-old captain Francesco Totti was the man who made it happen.

Just after half-time, Totti scored from close range to make it 2-1. Then, in the 64th minute, he met a cross at the far post and scored his second goal to level the match. Instead of celebrating normally, Totti ran towards the Curva Sud, asked a member of Roma's staff for a phone and took a selfie with the fans behind him. He later explained that he had been planning the celebration all week.

Those two goals took Totti's total against Lazio to 11 in Serie A, making him the derby's leading goalscorer at the time. The match finished 2-2, but his selfie was everywhere afterwards. It was also Nike's first season with Roma, making this dark red home shirt part of one of the most recognisable moments from Totti's final years at the club.
