Roma’s 80th-Anniversary Away Shirt

This shirt marked Roma’s 80th anniversary, with a special crest replacing the club’s usual badge. The white base, burgundy Kappa shoulder logos and bright WIND sponsor made it one of the season’s most distinctive Serie A away designs. 

Roma began the campaign as Coppa Italia holders, which explains the tricolour coccarda on the chest. Under Luciano Spalletti, the team remained one of Italy’s strongest sides.

In Europe, Roma defeated Real Madrid 2–1 in both legs of the Champions League round of 16, including a famous victory at the Bernabéu. They eventually reached the quarter-finals. 

Roma also finished second in Serie A and retained the Coppa Italia by beating Inter 2–1 in the final, with goals from Philippe Mexès and Simone Perrotta. 

The anniversary crest, cup-winners’ badge and classic Kappa fit give this shirt several details that only appeared during one successful season.
